Leah & Tony with special guest, Allie

I'm on complete overtime at this point. I think it was a wise decision for my health and mental stability to not shoot on Sundays going forward. But while I still have bookings to shoot on Sundays, they needless to say are terrific shoots!

Leah and Tony were married a few years ago and wanted to revisit a photo session that included their lovely dog, Allie. We met up near my favorite location to shoot and went from there.

This first shot may be a fav for me. It reminds me of film so much.

I think I had them sit on the prickle'iest spot ever. I sat down to shoot and couldn't believe how rough it was. But look at them, what troopers!

I am in love with this shot!!!

And this one!

Thanks Leah & Tony for such a great shoot!

Leaps and Bounds

Sunday I photographed a terrific couple. That posting will come in a bit.

However. I must immediately post this shot of their dog Allie. I cannot love dogs more than I do. I have two terrific pooches myself, so whenever couples bring their pets for photo sessions, I'm all for it. They are just as loved and a part of the family as anyone else in the family.

SO here is Allie. It's like she has a perma smile! Click on image to enlarge.

MIke & Breanne

When Breanne called me to photograph her wedding, I was so excited! Not only are Mike and Breanne friends of mine, but they are just great "people" as my younger brother would say.

Their wedding was on Friday at the University of Minnesota Arboretum. It was a picturesque day and every time I turned around, I saw great backdrops to photograph in.

This is the 1st of 2 blog posts so stay tuned.

How much do I love the bridesmaids wore their own dresses in a variety of colors! So Modern.

When I look at this, I can hear the giggles. It's inspiring to be around children. It's all I can do when photographing a stranger's child to grab those little toes and tickle. You can see more from this wee-one's photo shoot below, but it hit me as I posted it that this is one of the great many things that inspires me, the innocent laughter of a child.

Kathryn & Kevin, TBM September 12, 2009

Kathryn & Kevin are getting married September 12, 2009. They live in Chicago, but were in Minneapolis this past weekend for a little marriage preparation. We met up bright and early Saturday morning to get in their engagement session.

Which, to my delight, they brought along their lovely dog Elwood.

Beautiful, Curly haired Blonde, Morgan

When I shoot kids I feel a wave of joy and happiness come over me. There is something about those pint-sized smiles that reminds me to stop and feel the joy and remember why I started photographing in the first place. The joy of life. To document lives in ways that show true emotion. True joy. And what shows true joy for a beautiful little girl better than yes, go jump on that bed of yours and smile and giggle!

What a complete sweetheart!

Lisa & Jason

Let me see if I can say this correctly, Lisa & Jason met through Jason's brother and his wife, who just happens to be Lisa's good friend. Earlier this year I traveled to Chicago to shoot their engagement session, which did involve one terrific Ferris Wheel ride! Thanks for inviting me to photograph your wedding day!
